Calendula flowers have skin-soothing, protecting and toning properties. They are used in all types of skin care preparations including salves, body washes, scrubs, creams, ointments and lotions.
Organic Uva Ursi
SMILE Price: $2.99
Uva Ursi is commonly referred to as bearberry, because its bright red berries are a favorite of bears. It supports a healthy urinary tract.* Bilberry leaves are astringent and have been traditionally used to support urinary tract health, including the kidney and bladder. Also known as Bearberry, this herb has a long history of use for urinary tract infections. A source of the phytochemical arbutin, it is metabolized by the kidneys and excreted as antibacterial hydroquinones. Hydroquinones are an active antimicrobial especially in alkaline urine (do not use with Cranberry juice). It is useful for cystitis, urethritis, prostatitis, and mild nephritis. Uva-Ursi is contra-indicated for pregnant women.

Warnings & Disclaimers:

Stinging Nettle root has anti-inflammatory activity and is used for treating benign prostatic hyperplasia. Its activity is different than many other popular "prostate" herbs as it inhibits aromatase, preventing conversion of cholesterol into hormones in the prostate. Urtica, combined with Saw Palmetto, Collinsonia, and White Sage, is vastly more effective than any one of these alone.

One in six men in this country may experience prostate health issues. One out of 2 over age 60 will get BPH, or benign prostatic hypertrophy. These two factors alone signal the need for ways to reduce men's risk of developing disease. Luckily, scientists have identified certain nutrients found in nature, as well as common micronutrients, which may play a role in prostate health. Our formula combines these well-researched ingredients in amounts known to benefit prostate health. Pumpkin seed oil, Saw Palmetto, Nettle and Pygeum contain natural DHT blockers and phytosterols. DHT is a metabolite of testosterone, which may provoke the enlargement of the prostate.
